Blockle USDPrivacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Alienbeing LLC ("we," "us") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the Blockle USD (USDB) stablecoin service to buy, hold, or redeem USDB (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Identity & verification (KYC): name, address, date of birth, and government-ID / verification results, where required to comply with financial-services law.
- Bank account information: when you connect a bank account, we use Plaid to verify it. We receive a tokenized reference and limited account metadata (e.g., account name and last four digits). We do not store your full bank account or routing numbers, and we do not retain Plaid access tokens.
- Transaction data: buy/redeem amounts, fees, timestamps, payment references, and on-chain records (your Blockle wallet address, mint/burn transaction IDs).
- Communications & support: messages you send us.
- Device & usage data: standard log data (IP, timestamps) for security and fraud prevention.
Use of Plaid
We use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect your bank account to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us and Plaid the right to access and use information from your financial institution in accordance with applicable law. You agree to Plaid's Privacy Policy (https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy) and acknowledge that Plaid's handling of your information is governed by that policy. Plaid, not you, selects the data categories accessed, consistent with the products we enable (account verification / Auth).
2. How we use your information
- Provide the Service: issue (mint) and redeem (burn) USDB and move the corresponding US dollars.
- Comply with legal obligations, including KYC, anti-money-laundering (AML), sanctions screening, and recordkeeping.
- Prevent fraud and secure the Service.
- Communicate with you about your transactions and support requests.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Payment & banking providers — Modern Treasury and our partner banks, to move funds via ACH and related rails.
- Plaid — to verify and connect your bank account (see above).
- Service providers — identity/AML verification, hosting, and similar vendors bound by confidentiality.
- Legal & regulatory — when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect our rights and users.
4. Data retention & disposal
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal recordkeeping obligations (for example, KYC and transaction records are retained for at least 5 years under the Bank Secrecy Act and applicable money-transmitter law), after which it is securely deleted. Full details are in our Data Retention & Disposal Policy, available on request. On-chain records (wallet addresses and amounts) are immutable and cannot be deleted; we minimize the personal data placed on-chain.
5. How we protect your information
- In transit: all traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.2 / 1.3.
- At rest: sensitive data and keys are stored on encrypted (AES‑XTS / LUKS2) storage with least-privilege access controls.
- Minimization: we don't store raw bank credentials or third-party access tokens.
6. Your choices & rights
Subject to applicable law (including the CCPA/CPRA and, where applicable, the GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent for bank connectivity at any time by contacting us. We honor verified requests except where we are legally required to retain data (e.g., AML records). To exercise these rights, contact privacy@blockle.org.
7. Consent
By using the Service, connecting a bank account, and completing a purchase or redemption, you consent to the collection, processing, storage, and sharing of your information as described in this Policy and to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent as described in Section 6; withdrawal does not affect processing already performed or data we must retain by law.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
